Meckel’s diverticulum is the most common congenital malformation of the gastrointestinal tract. Littre’s hernia, herniation containing Meckel’s diverticulum, is very rare and is incidentally found during operations. We report a case of an inguinal hernia containing Meckel’s diverticulum. The diverticulum was resected, and the hernia was repaired by mesh without complication. Meckel’s diverticulum is a true diverticulum and can cause complications, including bleeding, diverticulitis, and obstruction. Clinically, it is very difficult to determine if Meckel’s diverticulum is included in the hernial sac. Although rare, surgeons should recognize the possibility of a herniated Meckel’s diverticulum when performing herniorrhaphy.
